Tire Shredder Machine
A tire shredder machine, also known as a tire crusher or tire shredder, is a type of machinery specifically designed for processing waste tires. It breaks down whole waste tires into smaller pieces of rubber or rubber powder through shearing, tearing, and compression, facilitating subsequent resource recycling.
Tire Shredder Machine Working Principle
The driving force is two motors; there is a spacer between the blades. Split-level installation between the blade and the blade installation, and the formation of a mutual shearing force by the motor, so that it can shred the rubbish in the double shaft shredder machine. There is no need to worry that the machine is stuck. If it is stuck. The blade will turn in another direction until the machine is working smoothly.

Application of the tire shredder machine
Tire shredder machine is widely used in the areas of used tires, waste plastic, waste rubber, wood, crop straw, scrap metal, hard disk, fiber material, carpet, automobile recycling, waste tires, waste cables, cans, car shell etc, etc. This is a quality and reliable piece of equipment in the recycling business. It can also crush hard plastic, such as PP, PE, PVC, etc.

Technical Data

Main Features
1. Newest shredding technology
2. Low noise and environmental
3. High capacity and durable
4. Blade material is Cr12Mov. It is very tough.
5. Mobile-type shredder supply
6. The Belt between the speed reducer and the electric motor has been protected by a cover.
7. All our machines before leaving our factory will be tested first to ensure that it cam work well.

How to choose a suitable tire shredder machine?
When selecting a tire shredder machine, consider the following three aspects:
1. Daily waste tire processing capacity;
2. Feed size: Confirm the maximum tire diameter the equipment can handle. Common processing ranges are between 1200mm and 2000mm.
3. Output size requirements:
Coarse crushing (50-200mm): 50mm (approximately 2 inches) is a common specification, especially for TDF fuel.
Medium crushing (approximately 40-50mm): Used for subsequent separation of steel wires or fibers.
Fine rubber powder (10-30 mesh): Used for manufacturing high-value-added products such as recycled rubber.

F&Q
1. How many tons of passenger car/truck tires can it handle per hour?
Actual capacity depends on the machine model, tire type, and required output size. To give you a practical reference:
A mid-size double-shaft shredder can process 2–5 metric tons of passenger car tires per hour, roughly equivalent to 200–500 passenger tires (depending on weight).
For truck tires (up to 1200 mm diameter), typical throughput is 1–3 tons per hour.
We offer a range of models covering capacities from 500 kg/h to over 10 tons/h, and our team can recommend the best model once you share your target output and feed material.
2. Can it handle super-large OTR or mining tires?
Our shredders handle virtually all common tire types, including passenger car, light truck, truck/bus, and OTR tires. The maximum feeding size varies by series:
Standard heavy-duty shredders accept whole truck tires up to 1200–1500 mm in diameter.
For super-large OTR or mining tires exceeding 1500 mm, we recommend adding a hydraulic tire debeader or pre-cutter to reduce the tire into manageable chunks before shredding. This protects the machine and ensures consistent processing.
3. What is the output chip size range, and can it be adjusted easily? For example, can I get 50mm chips and also finer rubber granules?
Output chip size is controlled by the discharge screen. On a dual-shaft shredder, you can typically achieve chip sizes ranging from 40 mm to 150 mm by simply switching screens with different hole diameters. For example, a 50 mm mesh yields a nominal 50 mm chip.
If you need finer rubber granules (e.g., 1–5 mm), the shredded chips must be further processed through a secondary granulator or a full crumb rubber line. We can supply the complete system to reach your desired final particle size.
4. What material are the blades made of, how long is their service life?
Our blades are manufactured from high-grade alloy tool steel (such as Cr12MoV or DC53), heat-treated to HRC 58–62 for an excellent balance of wear resistance and toughness.
Under normal operating conditions, one set of blades can process 800? How to 1,500 tons of tires before requiring re-sharpening. The blades can be re-ground multiple times, significantly extending their overall service life.
5. What is the total installed power and average electricity consumption per ton of processed tires?
Power figures depend on the specific model and final chip size. As a reference:
A medium-capacity shredder processing 2–3 tons/hour typically has a total installed power of around 90–110 kW.
Average energy consumption is generally 30–40 kWh per ton of processed tires, varying with tire type, screen size, and operation practices.
We provide detailed technical sheets with power and consumption data for every model, helping you accurately calculate running costs.
